About vipula-manaḥparyāya-jñāna, the second division of manaḥparyāya-jñāna

Explanation of the difference between riju-manaḥparyāya-jñāna and vipula-manaḥparyāya-jñāna:

Manaḥparyāya is two-fold: ṛiju and vipula. THE DISTINCTION BETWEEN THEM MAY BE UNDERSTOOD TO LIE IN PURITY AND NOT BEING LOST, see ĀDĪŚVARACARITRA [99 of 204], ṚṢABHA’S THIRTEENTH INCARNATION [58 of 159], ṚṢABHA’S SERMON [3 of 7], RIGHT KNOWLEDGE

In Hemachandracharya’s Triṣaṣṭṛiśalākāpuruṣacaritra it is laid down that each of the 24 Tīrthaṅkara-s have attained mind-reading knowledge or manaḥparyāya-jñāna at the time of dīkṣā. Each one took dīkṣā of their own accord not from a guru.
