Of all 24 Jain Arhats, some were married before initiation and some took dīkṣā without marrying like Ariṣṭhanemi. All of them attained mokṣa, and many devotees attained avadhi-, manaḥparyāya- and kevala-jñāna, which latter two are associated with mokṣa. They all could tell all their listeners to follow their path, to follow their example from their youth and to take dīkṣā.

Buddha says that one should not follow his path, which took the Dīgambara Jain dīkṣā, but follow his eightfold path, which corresponds to a Jain Brahmachari śrāvaka, which is the 7th of the 11 Pratimās of the Jain laypeople, as quoted on page 17.

In Majjhima-nikāya, sattipatthana suttam (the tenth), which describes four types of concentrated meditations on nirvāṇa and the statement of attaining either result after 7 days of meditation in order to attain nirvāṇa while in this body or when the meditation is deficient, not to undergo transmigration as mentioned above.

Comparison of the two results promised in the Majjhima-nikāya sattipatthana suttam (the tenth), with the 12thBhikṣu pratimā of two results as given in the 7th chapter of the Daśāśrutaskhanda Sūtra of the Śvetāmbara scriptures, note 2 (20+) JAIN DHARM EK VEGYANIK DRSTIKON | Saṁvara [part 291] | Facebook.

In this description of the 12th bhikṣu pratimā in the seventh chapter of the Daśāśrutaskandha of the Jain scriptures, the possibility is stated that within a day and night of pure meditation, either avadhi-jñāna (clairvoyance), manaḥparyāya-jñāna (reading knowledge) or keval-jñāna, which is equivalent and leads to attain nirvāṇa while living in that very body –

Through flaws in this meditation, the difference is evident. The Buddhists promise a state of cessation of transmigration, speaking in the plural, but not attaining nirvāṇa, only one thing is possible, having only one more birth ahead. The Jain scripture warns that if this meditation is deficient, one will become mentally deranged, suffering from disease or terror for a long time, and downfall from the noble path of dharma stated by the omniscient. Which is why this meditation is only recommended after 20 years of standing in monkhood as a sadhu.
