    Story or THE (INVESTIGATION) GATE of the Lion and the Bull [10 of 90]

    Two jackals were kept at the Lion's Gate; one was called Kalilag, the other Damnag. But the lion didn't trust them. They were both cunning and clever, but Damnag was bolder. He spoke to Kalilag:;

    “Brother, what does it mean that the Lord always stays in one place and neither moves here nor there?”

    Kalilag replied: “Why should you ask about something that is none of your business, especially a matter concerning the ruler? We live happily at our lord’s gate and earn our living there! Even if we were to attain such a high rank that we were permitted to investigate the affairs of the ruler, you should still remain silent; for it is said:;

    "Those who meddle in matters that do not concern them will end up like the monkey in the fable."
