    Story or THE (INVESTIGATION) GATE of the Lion and the Bull [28 of 90]

     

    Sizbug spoke:

    "Who is the lion and where does he live?"

    Damnag said: “He is the king of the animals and lives and dwells with many animals in such and such a region.”

    And when Sizbug heard that it was the king of the animals, he became unsure whether he should go, and spoke to Damnag:;

    "If you give me your word that he won't kill me, then I will come."

    Damnag then assured him that the lion would not kill him and brought him before the lion. The lion reassured the bull, encouraged him to have confidence, and asked him:

    "How and in what way did you get here?"

    Sizbug told him the whole story, how it had happened. Then the lion spoke to Sizbug:;

    "Stay here with me, for in this region a forest is my refuge, where you can very comfortably find your livelihood."

    Sizbug gratefully accepted this; then the lion became attached to him and made him his advisor, for Sizbug was wise and skilled. And the lion was instructed and trained by Sizbug's words. Now when Damnag saw that the lion ate and drank more often with the bull than with him, he became saddened, went to Kalilag, and said to him:
